Welcome

Hello to anyone who happens to stumble upon this Blog and welcome to The Fantasy Football Consigliere.  My name is Matt McCall and I've been playing fantasy football for the last 5 years, making the playoffs all five years, winning it all in the 2006-2007 season.  I don't say this to brag, but I want you to know that what you're reading comes from a place of experience, and that I absolutely do know what I'm talking about.  That being said, I'm sure not everyone will agree with all the advice that I give or how I rank each position week in and week out, but always remember, these are just my opinions, open to interpretation. 

For those of you who may be wondering why an Irishman like me would use an Italian word for the title of his blog, there are two reasons.  First, I am half Irish and the original consigliere from the movie The Godfather, Tom Hagen played by Robert Duvall, was Irish.  Second, the other half of me is Italian and The Godfather is my favorite movie of all time. 

The plan for the site for now is to start off slow, with at least having the rankings for each position posted on a weekly basis.  Eventually I want to have a few weekly columns such as a Love/Hate, Players on the Rise, and Diamond in the Rough, but I am not sure if there will be enough hours in the week to make that happen.  Too bad real life gets in the way some time of doing what you really enjoy.

So consider me your Fantasy Football Consigliere from now on out and hopefully the information and advice I provide gives you an extra leg up in your league, and maybe even wins you the Championship.  Good Luck!
