Teams on Bye:
Baltimore Ravens: Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Dennis Pitta, D/ST

Brandon Gibson (St. Louis Rams)
Chris Givens (St. Louis Rams)

Kendall Wright (Tennessee Titans)
Josh Gordon (Cleveland Browns)

Vick Ballard (Indianapolis Colts)
Jonathan Dwyer (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Week 7 Rankings
Currently talking to my buddy on the phone about a whole bunch of crap, none of which is at all relatable to fantasy football except for the fact that for my 31st birthday a bunch of the guys are coming over and we're drinking, eating pizza, and watching every football game on the Direct TV ticket.
So wish me a happy birthday and if you don't see me post a weekly rankings article next Wednesday, that means I died while celebrating my birthday weekend, but I died happy.
Six teams on bye this week:
Atlanta Falcos
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Miami Dolphins
Philadelphia Eagles
San Diego Chargers
Keeping it short and sweet as I need to do some research in to places in Pittsburgh that you can dance that have no smoking, yet you can still have a conversation if you want. That probably leaves me with no options at all, but I'm determined!!!
Any questions, comments, thoughts, doesn't even have to be about fantasy football, post a comment to the blog or e-mail mattymccall@gmail.com.

Week 6 Rankings
Where did you go Egypt????!!!!! After 8 page views last week from Egypt, they have completely disappeared this week to a total of 0!! But on a positive note, The Ukraine is not weak, as they registered 1 official page view this past week to match Australia's total as well. The U.S. was strong this past week with 8 page views.
But seriously, you're not here to listen to me ramble on and on about my viewing audience, as I'm sure it matters in the least to you. You're here to see what the Consigliere has to say this week about who to start and who to sit based on the good 'ol rankings.
So first things first; teams on a bye for Week 6:
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Jacksonville Jaguars
New Orleans Saints
So if you drafted Cam Newton or Drew Brees, take a look at the 11-25 spots on the QB rankings and see who is the highest player I have ranked still available in your league that you may need (cough cough, Andrew Luck, cough cough).
Other big name players out this week are Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, and Marques Colston from the New Orleans Saints, Maurice Jones Drew from the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte from the Chicago Bears. So take a peek at my rankings and you just might find yourself a solid fill in.
Any questions, comments, or thoughts, post a comment or e-mail mattymccall@gmail.com.

Week 5 Rankings
First let me say I don't know what happened in Egpyt on October 1st, but whatever it was, it provided me with 9 pageviews of this blog in one day, which I think is an all time record. So thanks to the country of Egpyt for somehow stumbling across this blog accidentally, and if for some reason you are really in to Fantasy Football, I hope you come back for some more. (Second place goes to Russia with 3 page views within the last week, so kudos to you Russia.)
4 teams on bye this week; Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So make sure you get any players from these teams out of your lineups. Because of this you may see some new players in the 30-50 range for RB and WR, so be sure to scope those out. Also, Greg Jennings is not playing this Sunday, so everyone in the Packers receiving corps gets a boost in the rankings, particularly James Jones, who most likely is the #1 waiver pickup in your league.
If you have any questions, comments, ideas, whatever it may be, post a comment on this blog or e-mail mattymccall@gmail.com.

Week 4 Rankings
Welcome to Week 4, start of the bye weeks. So keep in mind both the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers have the bye this week. Me being from Pittsburgh, and not a Steelers fan, it will be a nice change of pace to not have to here the constant analysis leading up to the game and then the incessant moaning and complaining after the Steelers lose. Although I will say, after the Steelers lose, I do get a modicum of enjoyment listening to everyone act like the season is over.
Now, let's talk about the important stuff; the freaking Monday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers (my favorite team) and the Seattle Seahwaks. First let me say I understand why people think sports is rigged from time to time with that atrocity of a call on the last play of the game. Secondly, let me say that I've seen the referees huddle over a simple false start penalty and take a minute to figure out what the hell they are supposed to do, yet on the last play of the game no such huddle occurred at all. What the hell?! One ref calls interception and the other calls touchdown. You don't think that disagreement should result in a referee huddle? Where the hell was the stupid head referee? Not doing his damn job, that's where he was!!!! Just utterly ridiculous.
Now that I've gotten the anger out of the way, let's move on to the rankings. Because of the bye weeks and injuries you may see some players in the 35-40 range for both RB and WR that normally aren't there, but if you need to stretch someone, I suggest you take a look at them.
As always, any questions, thoughts, concerns, either post a comment or e-mail mattymccall@gmail.com.

Week 3 Rankings
Greetings loyal followers (I think someone from an Eastern European country is reading this, so however you say hello in your language, hello)!!!
First and foremost, Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw are NOT PLAYING tomorrow on the Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers. Hakeem Nicks is quite perplexing since he just put up 199 yards receiving this past week, but apparently his surgically repaired foot is hurting after all that use this past Sunday. Therefore he sits. My analysis is that the targets have to go somewhere, and that someone is going to be the tight end Martellus Bennett. If he's in your league and you are weak at the TE position, I'd say pick him up. Certainly worth a gamble, particularly since he did score a TD this past week.
Second, for you owners of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Matthew Stafford (owners which include myself), hang in there. Their seasons, whether real or fantasy, have been pretty mediocore so far. ButI say don't panic. You drafted these guys in the first or second round, so you're going to live or die by them unless you get one hell of a trade offer (like a top 5 RB and top 5 WR) and your backup quarterback is Robert Griffin III. I'm inclined to think that what we've seen from all 3 for the first 2 weeks is only an anomaly. You can't keep former league MVPs like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady down, and regardless of what happens with the Lions, you always know Matthew Stafford is going to throw for near 300 yards every week cause the Lions love throwing the ball.
With that out of the way, take a peek at the rankings below and if you have any questions e-mail mattymccall@yahoo.com or post a comment. Thanks for reading!!

Week 2 Rankings
Well here we are. First official rankings of the year. I would have had them up sooner tonight but Angelina Jolie has been on FX for the last 4 hours and she is rather distracting. But you would think that seeing the same movies at least 3 to 4 times each would be enough. Again though, it's Angelina Jolie.
Enough about her though. The rankings seem pretty straight forward, except for I will mention the fact that Greg Jennings is not ranked anywhere within the top 50 wide receivers. As of right now he is listed as doubtful with a groin injury, which as a Packers fan makes me not too happy. My personal feelings aside, Green Bay plays the Chicago Bears on this weeks Thursday night game, making the possibility of Jennings playing in my mind about 15%. That's not enough to put him in the top 50, so he's excluded this week. As a result, you will see that Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and James Jones are ranked slightly higher than normal.
Other than that, nothing too out of the ordinary. So as always, if you have any questions, thoughts, concerns, you can post a comment to this post or you can e-mail me at mattymccall@gmail.com. Your choice.
May the Fantasy Football gods be with you.
